It's based in the center of the city and extremely close to a vast pedestrianized public square. The service is good, includes discounted parking...

Hotel with excellent location for tourism, close to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Chocolateria San Gines and San Miguel Gastronomic Market (tapas). It is on a street with high pedestrian traffic in a shopping and restaurant area. The suburban train and Metro arrive at Puerta del Sol. located only 2 blocks from the hotel, allows easy connections to Atocha and airport, Our luggage was kept for us from the time we left until the time we had to travel. good with the Wifi. We had to extend our stay for one more day and they offered us an affordable price.
division between the room and bathroom in the same room is made of frosted tempered glass, it is uncomfortable because it diminishes privacy. They did not provide us with a map of the city, they had little tourist information available. room did not have a coffee maker and we could not find a place in the hotel to have a free coffee. It would be a good detail of the hotel to offer facilities to drink coffee or tea.

A good hotel located in the heart of Madrid: one block from Puerta del Sol. Near the Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, the Gran Via. A privileged location to move around, either by metro, in the hop on hop off (they have a stop in Puerta del Sol), by taxi or walking. It is on a pedestrian area, so it could be that when you arrive or leave, you have to move your luggage to the corner. In our case, the taxi driver came to the door and helped us carry our bags. The one who had taken us to the hotel left everything in the corner and we went carrying everything. The hotel is renovated and has an elevator. The rooms are very comfortable, modern and clean. The bathroom is impeccable. They lent me a powerful hairdryer to dry my hair, which was very much appreciated. About 5 blocks from the Botin Restaurant (the oldest in the world, recommended in another comment), and several places to "tapas" before going to dinner (eg. Casa Labra with cod croquettes). We frequent a restaurant that is located on the same street (Arenal) before arriving at Puerta del Sol, which has tables outside, and with VERY reasonable prices: the menu of the day, at noon, included a starter, main course, dessert or coffee, and drink, for 12.50 Euros. From this place I highlight the ham croquettes...very good! You can also go for breakfast, for 3 to 6 Euros in different options. A "MUST": La Mallorquina (Arenal and Puerta del Sol); delicacies for all hours, it's worth it. The area has a lot of movement and is illuminated. We didn't have a feeling of insecurity in spite of entering and leaving at different times, maybe because we saw many police officers patrolling at all times. You always have to be careful, especially in those places where there are crowds.
Nothing in particular.

The room was spacious, very large mirror, good wardrobe and good location (ours was with an outside balcony and we were very grateful). Quite different types of light that allowed you to have the one you needed at every moment. They kept our bags after the check-out until we got on the flight, without any problem.
We got the feeling that the maintenance of the rooms was a little bit left out. It looked as if the room had suffered some flooding, door was cracked underneath as when wood gets wet and baseboards too. dryer was working but it was broken. shower was not looked after at all. wood had jumped off some of the walls. place where you wash your hands was clogged. slot where you put the card, broken. I put photos of all this to corroborate it.

hotel is great, room is wide and breakfast buffet is very complete and varied, for the price that has the room, is great. location has pros and cons, pros, that you are next to the door of the Sun, super central, cons, that is just in front of a party room that is called Joy Eslava, my window gave just to the party room and it mounts a festival in the street that does not let you sleep.... With some plugs was solved, if you come to rest is not the place. Thank you.
It's right in front of a party room called Joy Eslava, my window faced the party room and there is a festival in the street that doesn't let you sleep.... With some earplugs it was solved, but if you come to rest it's not the place.

Very helpful and pleasant reception staff. Quiet rooms at back. Convenient for many city sights. Reasonably good breakfast.
Erratic supply of soap and toiletries.

Absolutely perfect and magnificent location around 4-6 minutes walk from a large urban plaza. Also, close to everything. Family-friendly and brand-new room with a great bathroom and well priced.

We loved this hotel. The room was a good size, there was a laptop computer in every room which was a real bonus! The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. Breakfast was great!
The street that this hotel is on is quite noisy at night, if your room faces on to it! There is a bar/club right across the road.

Charming Stay with Friendly Staff!
I had a good six-night solo trip! The breakfast really stood out, offering gluten-free options, and the friendly staff, especially Ruth, made every morning bright. Make sure to request the quieter rooms, as some are by busy streets. A great experience!
